Postnatal Yoga

A gentle return to the mat after delivery — honouring recovery, rebuilding strength, and reconnecting with a body that has just done something extraordinary.

Coming back to your body with kindness

The first months after birth are unlike any other season of life. Sleep is broken, hormones are shifting, and the body is recovering from one of the most demanding things it will ever do. Postnatal yoga is not about “getting your body back” — it's about meeting the body you have, today, with steady breath and gentle movement.

Our postnatal classes are led by Simmi Khatri, certified in pre and postnatal yoga. We work slowly — restoring pelvic-floor awareness, healing diastasis recti, opening tight shoulders and hips from feeding postures, and building the everyday strength that holding a baby asks of you.

What Each Class Includes

  • Pelvic-floor reactivation and gentle Kegel work
  • Diastasis-recti-safe core rebuilding — no crunches, no planks before you're ready
  • Shoulder, neck, and upper-back release for nursing & carrying postures
  • Hip and lower-back work after months of altered posture
  • Breath practices to settle the nervous system and ease anxiety
  • 15-min closing relaxation — sometimes the most healing part of class

Who It's For

  • New mothers from 6 weeks post-delivery (natural) or 10–12 weeks (C-section), with doctor's clearance
  • Mothers months or years past delivery still rebuilding core strength
  • Bring-your-baby-if-needed friendly — the studio is a judgement-free space
  • New to yoga? Welcome. The practice is genuinely gentle and accessible.

When We Practice

  • Wednesday & Saturday: 11:00 AM (60 min)
  • Small group size: max 8 for personal attention
  • Both in-studio and online options available

Be Gentle with the Body That Just Did This

Recovery doesn't have a deadline. Whether you delivered six weeks ago or six years ago, this class will meet you exactly where you are.
